What's the average electric and gas use(per 1/4) in units for a 3 bed house for 2 adults & 2 kids?

For heating and cooling, it is almost impossible to come up with reasonable numbers. It will depend completely on whether you live in Florida or Alaska, Egypt or Russia. It will also depend on the specifics of your home - how thick your insulation is, how many windows you have and how many panes you have in your windows, etc.





As a small consolation, though, I've included a link that shows typical electric use for different household appliances. You can use that to calculate what a typical electric bill would be in the spring and fall when you are not heating or cooling.

There are so many variables here. Efficiency of the systems, settings of the thermostats, power sucking appliances, ammount of insulation, build of house, etc, etc, etc.
