its such a pain but i need to rent a 3 bedroomed house in plymouth,uk that has court yard or garden, but cant find a landlord that take dss and pets , why are people so prejudiced ?Why cant i find a 3 bed house in plymouth to rent?
its not they are prejudice its just that they have to protect their investment
If i was to rent my house out i wouldn't want any pets especially dogs in case the carpet or another part of the house gets ruined.
A small security deposit doesn't cover the damage if you need to replace carpets.
*** for the DDS I'm really not sure why people object, i mean they landlords know for sure they are going to get their rent so i don't see what the problem is.

plymouth is a high rental place and landlords can charge the upper end of the rent scale the local council wont meet the rent
why dont you try looking in a nearby area instead
Hi there. I live in plymouth and I know it depends on the area. There are definately landlords who rent to DSS but they are more likely to be found through notices in shop windows rather than letting agencies.

Tee hee - i'm looking for a house in Plymouth too!!! I already live there and have had no probs but I'm not DSS and have no pets, sorry I can't help. My parents used to rent houses to DSS and people with pets (and I'm not saying you) but it was for them alot more trouble then it was worth. they had so many arguments in court over missed rent and also when they allowed pets, each time the tennants moved out they had to recarpet if you get what I mean!
