My mid-terrace 3 bed house needs a new roof - how much might it cost?

We're in the South East, we were told when we bought the house that the roof was origional (1900ish) and there's no felt under the slates. Any idea what cost we might be looking at to replace the whole thing?My mid-terrace 3 bed house needs a new roof - how much might it cost?

i would say go for someone who is recommended by your neighbours / friends instead of someone new. you want someone reliable and someone who will do a good job
Yes I would say about 拢5,000.


I have just had a new roof, but it was rather complicated, very steep with 4 valleys and a new Velux roof window, cost 拢10,000.


But looks great and keeps the weather out.


(It was 3 stories high and the scaffolding alone cost 拢2,000)
hi there i had the same problem about 2years ago i had a quote between 4 - 5 grand that was including the felt and replacing any broken tiles.
Check with your council I think you can get a grant towards this, even though you own the house but in Scotland its around 拢5000 for new roof
you are looking in the region of about 拢4000 !!!!!!





Get 3 estimates , and make sure the scaffolding is included,


ask family , friends or neighbours if they can recommend someone ,
