Probably 8 to 12 per hour .I would just hire a trustworthy person to do it avoiding the companies charge. Its about 3 to 4 hours work
I work with a company that also provides private domestic care for the individuals. We really provide carers in the community for personal and domestic care through social services, but we accept private clients too. For domestic work it is 拢8.50 per hour and it depends on you and your house on exactly how long or how many days a week you want it cleaning.

Much better to ask around for a cleaner and ONLY go by recommendation.


If you get a company in, you don't know who is in your house and have to put complete trust in the company whose raison d'etre is to make money.


I would hate the thought of a stranger wandering round my bedroom etc.

Cleaning companies tend to send two operatives to each job- so you will be looking at 2 hours work max - unless your house is not very clean to begin with. Companies will ask you to set a standard for the work to be completed so be sure not to make that too onerous to begin with. 拢20 per operative per hour is probably about the rate for a professional company.
depending on the amount of work you require ... with two cleaners i would say 拢40.00 2 hours max should be enough to do the house top to bottom for two cleaners .. they may go for three and usually it is the mininum rate per hour
In Essex also. Don't use a company but a lady privately. costs 拢8 an hour., She used to work for Age Concern and then went private.Mind you I think her price is a special favour to me.She is more of a family friend now.
no idea... most websites just tell you to email them etc and they will give you a quote etc..... have a look through the yellow pages and see if they are any good
Best to get a local person, for say 2 hours twice a week approx 拢6 -拢8 an hour. advertise in a local shop.
