me and my wife are sharing a 4 bed 2 bath house with 2 sisters and both their parents.
-me and my wife will be taking the master suite which is bigger than the other rooms.
-both sisters will have their own room
-the last room would be for their parents who won't be staying in the house for the whole year because the dad is usually assigned out of state for a few months at a time for work.
Should we divide the rent by square footage of the bedrroms? square footage of the house (bedrooms and shared space)? # of bedrooms? # of individuals? what else should we consider?
regarding the 4th room,what the parents of the 2 sisters are suggesting is that they keep the 4th bedroom (guests shouldn't stay in their room even if they're not around) but they pay less rent when they're not staying at the house.

Everybody pays the same amount of rent $. Now if you guys have friends %26amp; family who would like to visit %26amp; the parents are willing to loan out their room you could be nice %26amp; cut them some financial slack. But if they want sole ownership of the room, they pay a full share.
