We moved out of a 2 bed house 8 months ago and now we have found out the boiler and cooker were condemend?

we lived at the house for a year while my partner was pregnant and now we have found out that the cooker was condemned and the boiler was. also the landlord new about this but failed to tell us what would you do any advise many thanks ?We moved out of a 2 bed house 8 months ago and now we have found out the boiler and cooker were condemend?
So what possible difference could this make now? No really what is your problem from EIGHT months ago I fail to understand if you did not complain then what do you want exactly? We moved out of a 2 bed house 8 months ago and now we have found out the boiler and cooker were condemend?
Gas appliances are condemned when they may be dangerous. This is usually because they emit too much Carbon Monoxide (CO), which can kill.

Luckily you and your partner are still here, but CO can build up in your body and cause longer term damage. If you have no symptoms there is almost certainly nothing to worry about, but if you explain the circumstances to your doctor they will be able to confirm there is nothing wrong.

Obviously the question how is how did you find out and are these appliances still in use? If so you should report the landlord immediately to the authorities because the current tenants could be in immediate danger. I'm not sure who the relevant authorities are in these circumstances. It may be a department of the local council, such as environmental health. If not I'm sure they will know who you should talk to.

When appliances are condemned the gasman usually disconnects them so they can't be used. Reconnecting them is an offence, as is doing any gas maintenance work if not properly qualified. If your old landlord reconnected condemned appliances he could be in a lot of trouble just for that.
I find this a bit odd, if it was a gas cooker, because the Gas Safety Inspection people condemned my cooker and they said they had to disconnect it on the spot for safety reasons and I couldn't use it again. I don't know if this helps, but if it was an official gas check maybe this is what they should have done in your case, which would put the blame on the gas inspector, and your landlord shouldn't have had to the chance to have not told you.
You left the property 8 months ago and suffered no problems before you moved out. There's nothing you need to do - you've moved on - what do you want, financial compensation????
If they were condemned they would have been disconnected and therefore not working. I think you would have noticed this whilst you lived there.
If it didn't cause you any injury or make you lose any money, there's not much you can do about it now.
You don't stand to gain anything, but he could be prosecuted.

It just depends on how annoyed you are at putting the three of you at risk.
Sounds dodgy. No idea what to do about it though, maybe try contacting Citizen advice. They should be able to advise you on the best course of action
Too late, you don't live there anymore unless you can prove that it has caused you harm, and prove that he knew about it.
Don't rent from this landlord again.
