Looking to rent a 3 or 4 bed house in south UK - I expect rent to be about 拢1,000 but I've no idea what over monthly costs might roughly be for gas, water, phone etc....etc.....Renting a 3/4 bed house - total monthly costs, approximately?
Im single and these are currently my bills = average (remember this is mine and can be different to yours/area):
Mortgage: 拢400
Water - 拢30.35
Council Tax - 拢70 (I get 25% discount living alone)
Gas and Electric - 拢60
Phone and Broadband - 拢15.50
TV Licence - 拢12

As a rough guide it is best to reserve 40% for bills, if this is too much just adjust it as you go along. Remember you've got water, council tax, electric, gas and telephone charges.
