Im moving from a 1 bed house to a 3 bed is there a grant that I can get to help with costs?

Your local one stop shop might be able to help. You need to be on income support I think .It's all means tested.

If you are on income support you get everything......

and yeah you do need to be a foreignerIm moving from a 1 bed house to a 3 bed is there a grant that I can get to help with costs?
Tell them your a foreigner and or a typical scrounger, and they'll throw money at you.Im moving from a 1 bed house to a 3 bed is there a grant that I can get to help with costs?
I can't even afford a 1 bed house!!! Ask your local citizen's advice bureau for advice about grants (although I think you'll be bloody lucky!)

You could always do some cash-in-hand work to supplement your income (but this is illegal).
You can get help from your local council. You will need to give proof of 1 months rent and 1 months deposit
Try the D.H.S.S, might help you
Why should you get a grant?

The move is your choice.
Why cos you've upgraded?
The government is NOT in the business of giving away free money for the sake of giving away money. There are no grants for paying bills, for getting out of debt, for buying a car or for moving into another house. Grants are free, but it means OBLIGATION. You will be obligated to do as the grant sets out to do. Grants have objectives, and your purpose must fit the objective of the grant.

For one, you have to write the grant application and the grant application is not a simple document - you have to explain how your purpose for applying for the grant fits well with the objectives set out by the grant.

There is a stringent review process through a committee. You will compete with other applicants for the grant money, and this grant review committee will evaluate the merits of each proposal. Only those that they feel exemplifies the objective of the grant will be approved.

Even Housing and Urban Development (HUD) does not offer grants to individuals, whether for buying a home or repairing a home

http://www.hud.gov/grants/index.cfm

';While HUD does not offer direct grants or loans to individuals, we do work through local governments and non-profit organizations to make financial assistance and counseling available.';

There are low cost government housing loans available, but not grants unless you are afflicted with AIDS for example (14.241 Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/CATALO鈥?/a> )

You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support your purposes. You can find grants for housing on this page http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/CATALO鈥?/a>

HUD has a program called Homeownership Voucher Program that can help you with the monthly mortgage and other homeownership expenses http://www.hud.gov/offices/pih/programs/鈥?/a>
why would you deserve a grand for getting a bigger house????? if anything, people in smaller houses should get a grant.
There is NO grant for MOVING into a bigger home!

If there was such a thing I would have used it years ago! LOL
Yeh sure, make sure they pay for a cleaner well now that you are very unfortunate to be landed with a 3 bed house.

Unless ther are mitigating circumstances you haven't mentioned, its a stupid question.
urrrrrrmmm nope i doubt it you've gotta bigger house what more dya want
If your disabled, probably yes, contact your local council. If not, I wouldn't think so. Rally your family around to help you.
