My company charges 拢180 + vat for an average 3 bed house but it also may depend on the number of circuits you have.


Secondly you do not have to have the electrics tested every year.


A domestic certificate lasts 10 years or less ( on the opinion of the tester this may be less ) maybe 5 years, or there is a change of ownership or change of tenant.


This is to make sure that the new owner or tenant has a safe installation when taking up residence.


I do not know the circumstances of the leasehold or whether the local authority insists on a test every year but it seems a bit extreme.


If you supply Portable Appliances ( fridge, kettle, microwave etc etc) then these must be tested yearly.
